About Us

Most Wanted Tint & Wraps is a paint protection film and window tint studio in Santa Ana, a close neighbor for anyone in Costa Mesa. The team behind it has more than six years of installs, and we are an authorized XPEL installer, listed in XPEL’s installer directory. XPEL is the only film brand we work with. Most of what comes through the door is a Tesla, an EV or a premium car, and many of them are driven up from Mesa Verde, the Eastside and South Coast Metro. We price every car separately, explain the job first, and do all of it inside our bay. Every panel gets checked under light before pickup and again the next day. We are open daily from 9 to 8. Getting here is quick: our PPF studio sits just across the Costa Mesa–Santa Ana line, about ten minutes from South Coast Plaza.

What it actually
does to your paint

A clear urethane layer over your paint, about 8 mil (0.2 mm) thick. Rock chips hit the film, not the clear coat. Light swirls warm up in the sun and flow back flat.

Cut digitally for your model, fitted indoors, edges wrapped so there is no line to catch your eye. It comes off years later leaving factory paint exactly as it was. Every install leaves with a ceramic coating over the film, on us.

Authorized XPEL dealer

Why XPEL Film

There is a reason we only install XPEL. As an authorized installer we get genuine film, patterns from XPEL’s database for your exact year and model, and a warranty on the film that comes from XPEL itself. Our name is in XPEL’s installer directory if you want to check before you book.

Costa Mesa traffic on the 405 and the 55 is constant, and so is the gravel. The film stops it only if it is installed right, so every kit is plotter cut and fitted indoors with edges wrapped where the panel allows. Seams land on body lines where the eye skips over them, and every panel gets a final check under light. It takes longer than rushing, and it holds up longer too.

We fit XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS for clear protection, XPEL STEALTH for satin, and XPEL COLOR PPF for a color change.

Installation

PPF film installation

Every kit is cut on a plotter from a pattern made for your exact vehicle. The film is never cut on your car.

  • Precise alignment on every panel
  • Clean, even edges
  • Consistent gaps at trim and seams
  • Clean transitions between pieces
  • Edges wrapped or tucked where the panel allows
  • Dust-controlled indoor bay
  • Full surface prep before any film
  • Final inspection under light

How far an edge can wrap depends on the panel design. We show you before we start. The goal is a finish that looks like it came from the factory.

Color PPF

Want a new color
and protection?

Color PPF does both at once. The car changes color and still takes the rock chips, because the color lives in the film, not in a thin wrap. Drag the line.

Where Costa Mesa Customers Drive From

All of Costa Mesa,
a few minutes up the 55

Bristol, Newport Boulevard and the 55 all run straight toward our door. These are the parts of Costa Mesa cars come from.

01

South Coast Metro

Ten minutes up Bristol from South Coast Plaza. Valet and structure parking mean scuffs, and full body PPF takes them instead of the paint.

02

Mesa Verde

Family cars on the 405 every day. A full front covers the bumper, hood, fenders and mirrors that take the freeway spray.

03

Eastside & 17th Street

Newport Boulevard and the 55 are a short hop. Daily drivers get the front filmed, and the ceramic coating on top is included.

04

Westside & the Fairgrounds

Cars parked outdoors on busy streets. Clear film on the doors and rear quarters covers the panels people brush past.

PPF FAQ

What everyone asks
before filming a car

Ask for things you can check. Authorized installers are listed by the film brand, and you can find us in XPEL’s directory. Ask whether the film is plotted from the manufacturer’s pattern or cut on your paint, and whether the work happens indoors. Then ask to see finished edges. If the answers are vague, or the price is far below everyone else’s, that usually says something about the film or the time put into the job.

It depends on the car, so we quote each one individually. The number moves with coverage, panel complexity, how much has to come off and the paint’s condition. Send the year, make and model and we reply during open hours, every day from 9 to 8. The quote you get is the price for that coverage, with no surprise add-ons at pickup.

A partial front is the quickest job we do, and a full front takes one to two days. Full body is the longest at a few days, because more trim comes off so the film can wrap around the edges.

For many Costa Mesa drivers, yes. The 405 and the 55 are full of gravel, and a lease turn-in can charge for chips. Film costs less than repainting a front end and comes off clean when you are done with the car. If you change cars every couple of years, a full front is usually the sweet spot between cost and coverage.

Full front covers the bumper, hood, fenders and mirrors, the panels that take freeway debris. Full body helps if the car lives in busy lots or parking structures around South Coast Plaza, where doors and quarters pick up scuffs. Many owners add the rocker panels, which take spray from the front tires.

Yes. Film stops new damage but keeps old damage where it is. When we inspect the car, we point out any chips worth touching up and let you decide before work starts.

Not if it is installed with care. The usual giveaways are bubbles, stretch marks and dirty edges, and those come from cheap film or rushed work. Ours is cut for your model and fitted indoors.

It should not. Yellowing was a real issue with first-generation films, which is why the reputation sticks around. Modern XPEL film is made to stay clear, and the warranty backs that up.

It is a multi-year product, not a seasonal one. Each XPEL film has its own manufacturer warranty, and we show you the terms in your quote.

Yes. We warm the film and peel it back slowly, and the factory clear coat underneath comes out looking the way it did when the film went on.

Heat is the trigger. Park in the sun or pour warm water over the panel, and fine swirls in the top coat level out. Deeper damage stays in the film, so the paint underneath is untouched.

Hold off for about a week. Once you start washing, stay gentle near the edges for the next couple of weeks, especially with a pressure washer. After that it is a normal wash routine.

Less than you might expect. Regular washing keeps it clear. Avoid harsh solvents and cutting compounds on the film, and let the ceramic coating we apply on top do the work of shedding dirt and water.

Ask what you want the film to do. If it is only a new look, vinyl can do that. If you also want rock chips stopped and light scratches healing, Color PPF is the one.

PPF is a clear protective film for painted panels. It is made of urethane, it is roughly as thick as a business card, and it has a self-healing top coat. Its job is to take the damage so the paint does not.

Yes. Clear bra and PPF describe the same film. The newer name took over as coverage grew from a strip on the bumper to full panels and full cars.
