A clear urethane film applied over your paint, roughly the thickness of a business card, with a self-healing top coat. It takes rock chips, sand and scratches so your factory finish does not. People also call it PPF or a clear bra.

Same film, older name. “Clear bra” comes from the early days when the film only covered the nose of the car. Modern PPF is that idea grown up: full panels, wrapped edges, a self-healing top coat. If you were searching for a clear bra installer, you are in exactly the right place.

Depends on the car and the miles. A leased commuter probably does not need it. A car you are keeping, one with soft paint, or anything you would hate to see chipped is exactly what it is for. Compare the film against one repaint of a hood and the math usually answers itself.

Full front covers the panels that take the hits: bumper, hood, fenders and mirrors. That is where the vast majority of damage lands, and it is what most of our customers pick. Full body is for cars that live outside, get parked in tight lots, or that you simply do not want touched anywhere.

They solve different problems and they work together (full breakdown: PPF vs ceramic coating). PPF is a physical barrier against impact. A ceramic coating is a chemical layer for gloss, water beading and easy washing, and it does nothing against a rock. Film the front, coat the rest, and you have covered both.

A full front is usually a day or two depending on how much comes apart. Full body runs several days. Film also needs time to settle afterward, which is why we ask you to leave it alone for the first week.

We can, and you should know that film locks in whatever is under it. Existing chips and swirls will still be there, just sealed. If the paint is worth correcting first, we will say so before we start rather than after.

The top coat is a polymer that flows back into shape when warmed. Light swirls disappear with sun heat or warm water. Deep rock chips do not heal, but the film absorbs them so your paint never sees the hit.

Installed properly, barely. We cut patterns digitally for your model, wrap edges where panels allow, and hide seams on body lines. Most owners forget it is there until a rock reminds them.

Old-generation film did, and that reputation stuck. Modern premium film uses non-yellowing top coats and is warrantied against yellowing, cracking and peeling. This is exactly why we refuse to install bargain film.

Give the film about a week to fully set before the first wash, and skip pressure washing directly at the edges for the first couple of weeks. After that, wash it like normal. Hand wash or touchless is always kinder to any finish.

Not really. Regular washing is enough. A ceramic coating on top of the film makes it even more slippery and easier to keep clean, which is why many of our customers pair the two.
