About Us

Most Wanted Tint & Wraps is a Santa Ana studio for paint protection film, window tint and ceramic coating, run by installers with more than six years in the trade. We are an authorized XPEL installer, listed in XPEL’s own directory, and XPEL is the only film brand we work with. A good share of our customers come from Irvine, often in a new Tesla, an EV or a leased SUV they want to hand back clean. Every job starts with a quote for that exact car and a straight answer about what it needs. The work happens inside our bay, and each car is checked under light before pickup and again the next day. Getting here is easy. Conveniently located just 15 minutes from Irvine, our PPF studio is easy to reach from anywhere in the Irvine area, from Woodbridge to the Great Park.

What it actually
does to your paint

A clear urethane layer over your paint, about 8 mil (0.2 mm) thick. Rock chips hit the film, not the clear coat. Light swirls warm up in the sun and flow back flat.

Cut digitally for your model, fitted indoors, edges wrapped so there is no line to catch your eye. It comes off years later leaving factory paint exactly as it was. Every install leaves with a ceramic coating over the film, on us.

Authorized XPEL dealer

Why XPEL Film

Buying from an authorized XPEL installer gets you three things a cheaper roll cannot. The film is genuine XPEL. The pattern for your car comes from XPEL’s own database, so a Model Y or an X5 from Irvine gets coverage cut for that exact body. And the warranty on the film is XPEL’s, backed by the manufacturer. Our listing is public in XPEL’s installer directory.

Good film still needs a good install. A lifted edge or a seam in the wrong place shows up on a white Tesla in Irvine sun, so we cut every kit on a plotter and finish it indoors. Seams go on body lines, and edges wrap around the panel wherever it allows.

For clear gloss we fit XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS. XPEL STEALTH turns gloss paint satin, and XPEL COLOR PPF changes the color while it protects.

Installation

PPF film installation

Every kit is cut on a plotter from a pattern made for your exact vehicle. The film is never cut on your car.

  • Precise alignment on every panel
  • Clean, even edges
  • Consistent gaps at trim and seams
  • Clean transitions between pieces
  • Edges wrapped or tucked where the panel allows
  • Dust-controlled indoor bay
  • Full surface prep before any film
  • Final inspection under light

How far an edge can wrap depends on the panel design. We show you before we start. The goal is a finish that looks like it came from the factory.

Color PPF

Want a new color
and protection?

Color PPF does both at once. The car changes color and still takes the rock chips, because the color lives in the film, not in a thin wrap. Drag the line.

Where Irvine Customers Drive From

All of Irvine,
one hop up the 5

From the older villages to the newest ones behind the Great Park, the studio is a short run north on the 5. These are the corners of Irvine cars come from.

01

Woodbridge & Northwood

Daily 405 and 5 commutes put a steady spray of gravel at the nose. A full front on the family car takes it, and the film comes off clean at lease return.

02

Portola Springs & Great Park

New construction means dump trucks and fresh chip seal on the way home. Film the hood, bumper and fenders before the first stone finds them.

03

Irvine Spectrum & Business Complex

Cars that sit in open office lots and parking structures all day. Full body coverage keeps the scratches and cart scuffs on the film, not the paint.

04

Turtle Rock & Shady Canyon

Garage-kept cars that still run Bonita Canyon and the 73 every day. Clear film keeps a premium paint at delivery condition.

PPF FAQ

What everyone asks
before filming a car

Start with what you can verify. Is the shop listed by the film brand? We are, in XPEL’s installer directory. Is the film cut from the manufacturer’s pattern for your model, or trimmed by hand on your paint? And is the work done indoors? Dust that gets under film stays there. A good installer answers all three without hesitating. It also helps to ask what happens if an edge lifts in the first months, and to get that answer in writing.

It depends on the car and the coverage, so we quote each one individually. The price moves with how much of the car you film, how complex the panels are, how much has to be removed and the condition of the paint. A front end on a Model 3 and full body on a Rivian are very different jobs. Send the year, make and model and we reply during open hours, 9 to 8 daily. If you are deciding between packages, we can quote two levels of coverage side by side so you can compare.

Most full fronts are finished in one to two days. Full body is a longer stay, usually a few days, since every panel is prepped and wrapped. We give you a pickup day with the quote, so you can plan the Irvine commute around it.

For a lot of Irvine drivers it is. Leased cars come back with chips that can count against you at turn-in, and the film comes off clean when the lease ends. If you keep the car, compare the cost of the film with repainting a hood and bumper once. It also keeps the car looking newer in photos and in person, which helps if you ever sell it privately.

Full front covers the bumper, hood, fenders and mirrors, where most rock chips land on the 405 and the 5. It is the most common choice. Full body makes sense if the car parks outside, sits in tight lots near the Spectrum, or you simply want every panel covered. Some owners add rocker panels or door edges to a full front, which is a good middle ground.

Yes, but film seals whatever is under it, chips included. If the paint would benefit from touch-up or correction first, we tell you before the job starts so you can decide.

Done right, almost nobody notices. The kit is cut for your exact model, edges are wrapped where the panel allows and seams sit on body lines. Clear gloss film looks like the paint underneath.

Older films did, which is where the reputation comes from. Modern XPEL film has a top coat made to resist yellowing, and the manufacturer warranty covers it. That is a big part of why we install XPEL only.

Quality film lasts for years and is backed by a manufacturer warranty. The exact terms depend on which XPEL film goes on your car, and we write them into your quote.

Yes. Removed by a professional, it comes off without harming factory paint. Panels that were repainted at a body shop can behave differently, which is worth mentioning when we look at the car.

The top layer of the film is an elastic polymer. When it warms up, in the sun or with warm water, light swirls and fine scratches level out. A deep rock strike will not disappear, but the film takes the hit instead of your clear coat.

Wait about a week before the first wash so the film can settle. For the first couple of weeks, keep pressure washer nozzles away from the edges. After that, wash it like any other car, by hand or touchless.

Not much beyond normal washing. Use a soft mitt and a pH-neutral soap, and skip abrasive polishes. The ceramic coating we put over the film makes it slicker and quicker to rinse clean.

Choose Color PPF if you want a new color and real protection in one film: it is thicker and it self-heals. Vinyl changes the look, but it does far less against rock chips. We will help you pick based on how you drive and how long you plan to keep the car.

It is a clear urethane film, roughly 8 mil thick, applied over the paint. Its top coat self-heals light scratches, and the film absorbs rock chips, sand and scuffs so the factory finish does not. Many people know it as a clear bra.

Yes, it is the same product under an older name. Early clear bras only covered the nose of the car. Today the film covers whole panels with wrapped edges and a self-healing top coat. If you searched for a clear bra in Irvine, this is the right page.
