Authorized XPEL installer
Most Wanted Tint & Wraps is an indoor studio in Santa Ana where paint protection film, window tint and ceramic coating are the whole job. Our installers have more than six years in the trade, we are an authorized XPEL installer listed in XPEL’s directory, and XPEL is the only film we install. Huntington Beach customers are a big part of the week, a lot of them with cars that live near the sand and the salt air. We quote each car individually, tell you plainly what it needs, and keep it inside our bay until it is done. Every panel is checked under light before pickup, then again the next day. The shop is open daily from 9 to 8. Getting here is one drive inland. Conveniently located just 25 minutes from Huntington Beach, our PPF studio is easy to reach from across the Huntington Beach area.
A clear urethane layer over your paint, about 8 mil (0.2 mm) thick. Rock chips hit the film, not the clear coat. Light swirls warm up in the sun and flow back flat.
Cut digitally for your model, fitted indoors, edges wrapped so there is no line to catch your eye. It comes off years later leaving factory paint exactly as it was. Every install leaves with a ceramic coating over the film, on us.
Authorized XPEL dealer
XPEL is one of the best-known names in paint protection film, and being authorized means you get the real product. That covers genuine XPEL film, a pattern from XPEL’s database for your exact year and model, and a warranty on the film written by XPEL. You can check us in XPEL’s installer directory.
Near the coast, sand and salt are hard on edges. A film that is cut well and wrapped where the panel allows holds up better, so every Huntington Beach car is fitted in our indoor bay, away from wind and dust. Seams are tucked along body lines and every panel is checked under light before the car goes home. Done this way, the film keeps doing its job long after the first summer at the beach.
The lineup is simple: XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS for clear gloss, XPEL STEALTH for satin, and XPEL COLOR PPF for a new color.
Installation
Every kit is cut on a plotter from a pattern made for your exact vehicle. The film is never cut on your car.
How far an edge can wrap depends on the panel design. We show you before we start. The goal is a finish that looks like it came from the factory.
Color PPF
Color PPF does both at once. The car changes color and still takes the rock chips, because the color lives in the film, not in a thin wrap. Drag the line.
From the Harbour to the Pier to Bella Terra, the studio is one drive up the 405 or across the 22. These are the parts of Huntington Beach cars come from.
Salt air, sand and beach parking. The film takes the sand blasting on the nose, and the ceramic coating on top lets the salt rinse off.
Cars that live near the water and outside. A protected front end is what keeps the paint honest at trade-in time.
Garage-kept cars driven on PCH and the 405 every day. A full front covers the four panels that take the freeway spray.
Open lots and carts. Clear film on the doors and rear quarters keeps the scuffs a busy lot hands out on the film, not the paint.
Coming from next door? See PPF for Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Fullerton, or the main Orange County PPF page.
Check three things. Is the installer authorized by the film brand? We are listed in XPEL’s directory. Is the kit cut from the maker’s pattern for your car, or trimmed on the paint with a blade? And is the work done indoors, away from wind and sand? Near the beach, that last one matters even more. Also ask how long the car will stay with them. A shop that promises a full body overnight is cutting corners somewhere.
We price each car on its own. Coverage, the shape of the panels, how much has to be removed and the paint’s condition all change the job. Send us your year, make and model and we will come back with a real number. We reply during open hours, 9 to 8 every day. If the car has already picked up chips from beach parking, mention it, because paint prep is part of the number.
Day one starts with a deep wash and surface prep, and the film goes on after that. A full front runs one to two days in total, full body a few days. The film then keeps curing on its own for about a week.
For a car that lives near the sand and drives the 405, often yes. Sand blasting and rock chips are constant on the coast, and repainting a front end costs more than protecting it. When you sell or return the car, the film comes off clean. Add salt air and blowing sand to the picture and the case gets stronger.
Full front covers the bumper, hood, fenders and mirrors, the panels that face the road. Full body is worth it if the car parks outside near the beach, where sand and salt reach every panel, or if you want the doors and quarters covered too. Door edges and the cups under the handles are popular add-ons too.
We do it often on cars that have already met a few rocks. The film seals those chips in. We look at the paint first and tell you if touch-up would make the finish look better.
Friends will not spot it unless you show them. The film is cut for your exact car and edges are tucked where the panel allows. On a white or silver car, it simply looks like clean paint.
Older film had that problem. XPEL’s modern top coats are built to resist yellowing even in strong coastal sun, and the manufacturer warranty covers it.
Film on a coastal car lasts for years when it is washed regularly. The manufacturer warranty from XPEL covers the film, and we list its exact terms on your quote.
Yes. Professionally removed, it leaves factory paint as it was. That is a big plus at trade-in time. When you move to a new car, the film can come off the old one before trade-in.
The surface of the film has a kind of memory. Light scratches from sand or a careless towel fill back in once the film gets warm, from the sun or a rinse with warm water. Deep rock hits stay in the film, which is exactly where you want them.
Wait about a week, then wash. For the first couple of weeks, keep pressure washers off the edges. Rinsing off salt spray regularly is good for any finish.
No special products, just regular washing. Salt and sand should not sit on any finish, so rinse after beach days. The ceramic coating we add over the film helps both slide off.
If you want the new color and real protection, choose Color PPF. It is thicker and self-heals, which suits coastal driving. Vinyl is a lighter style change. We will help you weigh it.
PPF is a clear urethane film, about 8 mil thick, applied over painted panels. It self-heals light scratches and takes the sand, chips and scuffs instead of your paint.
It is. Clear bra was the name back when the film was a narrow strip across the front bumper. The film itself has come a long way, and these days it covers whole panels or the entire car.
