Authorized XPEL installer
Most Wanted Tint & Wraps is a Santa Ana installation studio with more than six years of paint protection film, tint and wrap work behind it. We are an authorized XPEL installer, you can find us in XPEL’s installer directory, and XPEL is the only film brand on our shelves. South County drivers make the trip for a simple reason: they want the job done once, indoors, by people who do this daily. Each car gets its own quote, the work stays inside our bay, and nothing goes back to its owner until it has been checked under light. We look at it again the next day, and the warranty covers our workmanship too. Getting here is one straight run up the 5. Conveniently located just 20 minutes from Lake Forest, our PPF studio is easy to reach from across the Lake Forest and Foothill Ranch area.
A clear urethane layer over your paint, about 8 mil (0.2 mm) thick. Rock chips hit the film, not the clear coat. Light swirls warm up in the sun and flow back flat.
Cut digitally for your model, fitted indoors, edges wrapped so there is no line to catch your eye. It comes off years later leaving factory paint exactly as it was. Every install leaves with a ceramic coating over the film, on us.
Authorized XPEL dealer
An authorized XPEL installer can offer what an anonymous roll of film cannot. The material is genuine XPEL. The cutting pattern comes from XPEL’s database for your exact model, so there is no trimming by hand on your paint. And the film carries XPEL’s own warranty. Our listing is in XPEL’s official installer directory.
Lake Forest drivers spend a lot of time on the 241 and the 5, and that debris finds every weak edge. The film is only as good as the person fitting it, so every kit is plotted and installed indoors. Edges are wrapped where the panel allows and seams sit on body lines, which is what keeps film tight through years of freeway driving. It is slow work, and we do not rush it.
We install XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS for clear gloss, XPEL STEALTH for a satin finish, and XPEL COLOR PPF when the car is getting a new color.
Installation
Every kit is cut on a plotter from a pattern made for your exact vehicle. The film is never cut on your car.
How far an edge can wrap depends on the panel design. We show you before we start. The goal is a finish that looks like it came from the factory.
Color PPF
Color PPF does both at once. The car changes color and still takes the rock chips, because the color lives in the film, not in a thin wrap. Drag the line.
From Foothill Ranch to the two lakes the city is named for, the studio is one straight run north on the 5. These are the parts of Lake Forest cars come from.
Toll road commutes on the 241 and canyon roads behind the houses. Rock chips on the hood are the first mark a new car picks up out here.
Newer homes and newer cars, many of them electric. Tesla and EV front ends are exactly the work the studio does most.
The older core of the city, with cars parked outside under trees and sun. Full coverage plus the included ceramic coating keeps sap and bird droppings from etching the clear coat.
Every trip north to Irvine or Santa Ana runs the 5 behind trucks. That is exactly the debris a full front is built for.
Coming from next door? See PPF for Laguna Hills, Irvine, Tustin, or the main Orange County PPF page.
Look for proof rather than promises. An authorized shop shows up in the brand’s directory, and you can find us in XPEL’s. Ask whether the kit is plotted from the manufacturer’s pattern or cut on the car, and whether the work is done indoors. Then look at finished cars. A shop that is proud of its edges will show you. Reviews help too, as long as they mention PPF specifically and not only window tint.
Every quote is specific to the car. Coverage, panel complexity, how much comes off for the install and the state of the paint all change the number, so a flat price would be misleading. Send the year, make and model, and we answer during open hours, 9 to 8 every day. We can also price a partial front next to a full front, so you see exactly what the extra coverage adds.
Time depends on how much of the car is covered and how much has to come off. Front-end packages take one to two days in the bay. Full body is several days of careful work, panel by panel.
On the 241 and the 5, rock chips are not a maybe. If the car is leased, chips can turn into charges at turn-in. If you are keeping it, film costs less than repainting the front once, and it keeps the original paint original. It is less compelling on an older car with tired paint, and we will tell you that honestly.
Full front covers the bumper, hood, fenders and mirrors, which take nearly all the freeway debris. Full body is worth it for cars parked outside under trees and sun, or for owners who want the doors and quarters protected too. Matte owners often choose full body so the whole car carries the same satin finish.
Yes. Expect the existing chips to stay visible under the film, because it protects from now on and does not repair what is already there. If correction or touch-up is worth it, you hear it from us first.
Clear gloss film is designed to look like the paint itself. What gives bad installs away is lifted edges, dust bumps and visible seams, which is why we plot the kit for your car and install it indoors.
The yellow, cloudy film people picture is a leftover from early products. XPEL’s current films use a stain-resistant top coat built to stay clear, and yellowing is covered by the manufacturer warranty.
Many years with normal care. How long exactly depends on the XPEL film you pick, and the warranty terms for that film are written into your quote, so there is nothing to guess.
Yes. A professional can remove it without damaging factory paint, which matters at trade-in or when a lease ends. If you ever want it off, we handle removal here with heat so the adhesive lets go evenly.
The film’s top layer is a flexible polymer that recovers its shape with heat. Sun or warm water erases light swirls. A deep chip stays in the film, which is the point: it never reaches the paint.
The first week is hands off while the film finishes setting. After that you can wash, but keep high pressure away from the edges for a couple more weeks. Hand washing or touchless is best long term.
Normal washing is enough. Avoid abrasive compounds and stiff brushes. The ceramic coating we apply over the film helps water and dirt slide off.
Color PPF is the pick if you want a new color and protection at once, because it is thicker and self-healing. Vinyl is fine for a pure style change, with much less protection. We will help you choose honestly.
Picture a clear, tough skin over your paint. It is a urethane film about 8 mil thick with a self-healing surface, and it takes the rock chips, sand and scrapes that would otherwise mark the clear coat.
Yes. People started calling it a clear bra because the first versions covered only the front bumper and the leading edge of the hood. The material has improved a lot since then, and it now covers whole panels.
